SceneMe is an AI-powered photo and video creation app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

SceneMe may collect or process the following types of information:

Photos and videos you choose from your device library.
Photos or videos you capture using your device camera.
Generated videos created through the app.
Selected template information, including prompt, model, aspect ratio, and duration.
App usage information, such as template loading, app performance, and crash diagnostics.
Purchase and token information related to in-app purchases.
Device and technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the app.

SceneMe does not require you to create an account to use the core app experience.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

Let you import photos and videos.
Generate AI videos from selected images and templates.
Save generated or exported videos inside the app.
Allow you to save videos to your device photo library when you choose to do so.
Manage app tokens, purchases, and entitlement status.
Improve app reliability, performance, and user experience.
Detect errors, crashes, and technical issues.

Photos, Videos, and AI Generation

When you choose to generate an AI video, SceneMe asks for your permission before sending data to the third-party AI service provider.

If you allow generation, SceneMe sends the following data to RunwayML / Runway AI, Inc. at api.dev.runwayml.com:

The photo you selected, processed as a compressed JPEG.
The selected template prompt.
The selected AI model.
The selected aspect ratio.
The selected video duration.

RunwayML / Runway AI, Inc. uses this data to generate the requested AI video. SceneMe uses the generated video output to show, save, and let you export the result.

SceneMe does not use selected photos or generated videos for advertising, profiling, or AI model training.

SceneMe only accesses photos and videos that you explicitly choose or capture through the app. The app does not scan your full photo library in the background.

Saved Videos

Videos saved in the Saved Videos section are stored locally on your device. You can replay, share, export, save to Photos, or delete saved videos from inside the app.

Deleting a saved video removes it from the app’s local storage.

In-App Purchases and Tokens

SceneMe uses Apple StoreKit to process in-app purchases. All payment processing is handled by Apple.

SceneMe may store token balances and transaction identifiers using Apple-supported local or cloud storage mechanisms, such as UserDefaults or NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore, to maintain access and synchronization.

SceneMe does not collect or store your payment card information.

Third-Party Services

SceneMe uses third-party services to operate the app:

RunwayML / Runway AI, Inc. for AI video generation.
Firebase services, including Firestore, Analytics, and Crashlytics, for template delivery, analytics, diagnostics, and crash reporting.
Apple StoreKit for in-app purchases.

These third-party services process information according to their own privacy policies and provide privacy and security protections for the information they process.

Data Sharing

SceneMe does not sell your personal information.

SceneMe shares information only when necessary to:

Provide AI video generation by sending selected images and template generation settings to RunwayML / Runway AI, Inc.
Process payments through Apple StoreKit.
Operate analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, and template delivery through Firebase.
Comply with legal obligations or protect users and the app from misuse.

Data Retention

Generated videos stored in the app remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.

SceneMe does not permanently store the selected photos you send for AI generation on SceneMe-controlled systems.

Data processed by third-party services may be retained according to their own privacy policies and operational requirements.

Children’s Privacy

SceneMe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

You can:

Choose which photos or videos to import.
Decline permission before SceneMe sends selected photos and template settings to RunwayML / Runway AI, Inc.
Delete saved videos from the app.
Export or save videos only when you choose to do so.
Manage camera, microphone, and photo permissions in device settings.
Manage purchases and subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will include a new effective date.
